What’s Your Favorite Windows Twitter Client?

With Twitter being as popular as it is, I am somewhat surprised at the lack of really good Twitter clients.  Yes, there are some major players like TweetDeck and Seesmic, but each of those have some significant flaws.  I know I am not alone in my thinking as discussing this with many on Twitter, I discovered so many have the exact same thoughts.

Most of my tech and gaming friends use TweetDeck as their primary desktop app, but TweetDeck (an AIR application) uses up quite a bit of resources for just a Twitter client.

Seesmic is a promising app, but being that the current version is still a beta product (currently at 0.6.1 at this time), it still has some performance issues and features that need to be worked out.  Another very promising app is MetroTwit (a native WPF4 app) that is currently being developed.  My friend and contributor Mike wrote up a first look on TheAppNews which you can see here.

Another desktop app recommended by my followers is Sobees.  I haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, but from what I understand it is very much like TweetDeck, lets just hope the memory usage is better.

So I wanted to ask our readers what is their favorite Windows desktop client, or even if you just prefer using a web-based client.  Take part in our poll below and we will follow-up with the poll results soon.
