Microsoft Offering Free Upgrades for Office Mac 2011

Getting details about the release of the next version of Microsoft Office for Mac has been sketchy, but I noticed that online retailers such as Amazon and Newegg are now offering free upgrades for Office for Mac 2011 when purchasing Office 2008 for Mac.

The details:

  • Purchase Office 2008 for Mac between August 1st and November 30th
  • You then have until December 31st to register at www.microsoft.com/mac/techg
  • Submit sales receipt by digital upload, fax, or e-mailing your receipt.
  • You will then receive the qualifying upgrade for free, or request a DVD upgrade.

We always see this “technology guarantee” with Office for Windows, so it’s nice to see this extended for the Mac as well.  If you need to purchase Office 2008 for Mac, please check the links below.
