5 Favorite Mac Apps for 2010
Yes the end of the year is approaching, so the obligatory “favorite of 2010″ posts are happening. I joke, but it is fun to look back at the apps that were your favorite and most useful throughout the past year and share that with others so they can possibly introduce them into their workflow in the new year.
MarsEdit
The OS X platform has a very limited selection of good blogging tools, and the one that tops my favorite list is also the one I’m writing this very post on. MarsEdit is an easy to use, but powerful blogging app that gives you the choice of writing posts with a rich text editor, or show off those HTML skills with some help from MarsEdit in the HTML mode. If you blog on your Mac, then you owe it to yourself to make it easier with MarsEdit.

Bento 3
Bento is a personal database application from FileMaker. This is a perfect database app for anyone who doesn’t need the full power of FileMaker, and needs more control than something like a spreadsheet. I use Bento for home inventory, planning, projects, and more. If you are also an iPhone/iPad user, they have Bento for those too, and with syncing.

SnagIt
SnagIt has been a long time favorite on the PC, and just this year they introduced a Mac version. Use SnagIt to capture pretty much anything on your screen and share those images via a variety of methods.

TweetDeck
If you are on Twitter, then most likely you are using or have heard of TweetDeck. There are some other good Twitter apps available for the Mac like Tweetie and Kiwi, but the multiple column view in TweetDeck among other features makes this my favorite of them all.

1Password
With countless websites you are most likely a member of, it can get complicated to keep them all safely organized for when you might need to remember them. 1Password keeps your passwords, login information, etc. in a safe and usable app. My favorite is the click and go functionality that lets me login to websites with just a click.
