Review: Silent Film Director for iOS

I am an avid user of several of iPhone apps from MacPhun, so I always look forward to being able to check out anything new they are putting out.  One of the latest releases is Silent Film Director which I quickly loaded onto my iPhone and immediately got to work making some “old time” films.  The concept behind this is simple, take an existing movie on your iPhone, or record a new one and Silent Film Director will apply an effect, soundtrack, and speed adjustment to make your movie look like something from the 20′s!

I’m using the 20′s film effect as an example because it is my favorite, but there are other presets that you can choose from like black & white, home movies, etc.  When your movie is done you have the option of sharing it to popular websites such as Facebook, YouTube, etc.  An in-app upgrade is available to the Pro version which gives you more options like video cropping, title cards, transitions and more.

I use a lot of apps, and I can say without hesitation this is one of the most fun I have ever used.  Before I knew it, I had spent hours turning movies into old films and sharing them on Facebook with family and friends.  It’s easy to use and the resulting videos are very high-quality with the effects being very “realistic”!  Do yourself a favor and grab this app!
