Getting the Most Out of Your iPad
Now is a great time to own an iPad. Whether you choose the new iPad with the beautiful retina screen, or start out with an iPad 2 to save some money, there’s several things you can do to get the most out of it. Regardless of the model they are using the same iOS operating system, so most tips are relevant no matter which one you are using.
1. Tap around and explore. There’s no better way to get used to the feel and functions of the tablet than by just exploring it yourself. After the initial setup, just tap through the existing apps, browse the web with Safari, and get a “feel” for the device.
2. Download apps! It’s no secret that one of the best things about the iPad is the apps. Games, productivity, information – there is literally almost an app for everything. Tap the App Store icon and start browsing through the categories. A great way to start is also browsing through the top app lists. These have the popular paid and free apps so you can check out what others are using.
3. Get your data ready. Whether you travel or just live in an area that has mobile broadband available, be sure to research the data solutions to meet your needs.
4. Protect your device. It is far too easy to scratch or damage your iPad if dropped. Even though the device has a solid build quality, I always recommend getting a case or cover for it. There are hundreds of styles available with every type of color and pattern imaginable and I’m sure you can find something to match your style.
These are just a few things to help you get started with your iPad. It’s a fantastic device and I’m sure you’ll have a great and useful time with it!
