SkyDrive Receiving Significant UI and Feature Update

The new Outlook.com service was obviously a sign of things to come for the rest of the Microsoft services such as SkyDrive.  Today on the Windows Team Blog, it was confirmed that SkyDrive will be rolling out shortly a new update for SkyDrive which brings the Windows 8 style  to its interface.

In addition to the user interface update, SkyDrive also gets an instant search feature, improvements to the contextual toolbar, drag-and-drop support, and more.  Also, updates for the Windows desktop and Mac client will be available in the coming week.
