Review: Reformator – Batch Photo Editor for Mac

Reformator is a batch image convertor from the Overmacs Team.  I previously reviewed another app developed by them called PhotoSweeper, which I was highly impressed with.  In the past couple of months  I’ve needed a batch image convertor for several photo projects I have been working on, and I’ve been trying several out.  The opportunity to review Reformator came at the perfect time.  I needed something good and something fast to convert a bunch of images with different variations, so is Reformator up to the task? Review: Tonality Pro

Tonality is the newest app in the Macphun photo app lineup, and I’ve reviewed most of their apps like Intensify and Focus 2 before.  Their other apps take care of a wide range of photo editing capabilities, and Tonality adds to that by bringing a black and white editing ability for your images.  Tonality brings a powerful black and white editor with RAW support, over 150 presets, and a variety of tools which allow you advanced monochrome editing. PhotoSweeper for Mac Update Available

We reviewed PhotoSweeper for the Mac a while ago, and recommended for users who needed a way to find and remove duplicate photos from their Mac.  The folks at Overmacs Team have recently released a new version (v1.9.7.) with three new features. DNG image support.  For use with a variety of Adobe apps. “Lock Photos” feature.  This allows users to use a file for comparison, but locks it from being marked for removal. Search photos in the app browser.  You can search for photos using 30 different criteria. PhotoSweeper is compatible with various photo applications such as iPhoto, Aperture, and Lightroom, and also supports a wide range of image formats.  PhotoSweeper is available on the Mac App Store for $9.99....

Pixelmator 3.2 Released

Pixelmator 3.2 was released this week, and is one of the best image editing apps available on the Mac.  This release includes a new Repair Tool, 16-bits per channel support, and Lock Layers feature. The Repair Tool will allow users to remove unwanted objects from their images with great precision and offers several options for level of repair.  The 16-bit gives you more color data to work with, and the Lock Layers feature lets you lock certain layers to protect their content from being edited. Pixelmator 3.2 is a free update on the Mac App Store for current users, and it can be purchased for $29.99....

Intensify Update Includes Photo Sharing, Print Lab Support, and More

We reviewed Intensify not too long ago and found it to be one of the best new photo editing apps available on the Mac.  Today the folks at Macphun Software released a free update that brings several new features to Intensify making it an even more valuable tool in your photo editing collection.
